DIY Aftersun Soothing Spray

Summer sun in Australia is harsh and you should always cover up and use sunscreen. For those moments that you have spent in the sun and you skin is feeling the effects, we wanted to share our favourite after sun spray recipe that is easy to make.


Store it in your fridge for that extra cooling feeling when it hits your heated skin. Although there are many options to create a natural aftersun/sunburn spray, this one uses our favourite and common essential oils and is easy for anyone to create!


ABOUT THESE ESSENTIAL OILS

LAVENDER is great for burns and irritated skin, it is super soothing and promotes healing and a sense of wellbeing.


PEPPERMINT has a cooling effect which will help soothe sunburn.


TEA TREE has wonderful antibacterial properties, helps with the itchiness and promotes healing.


FRANKINCENSE is the queen of oils with so many benefits to our skin, its anti-inflammatory properties will soothe your skin.


ALOE VERA GEL should be a staple in every home, with its natural gel consistency, its soothing and made by Mother Nature to help us repair and rejuvenate our skin!
